Saturday, March 27
Easter Egg Hunt & Duck Race.
Wear your best decorated Easter hat and join us at 1 pm for an Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds. Refreshments and lots of prizes. Get your photo made with the Easter Bunny. Sign up for our duckie race – a fundraiser for the Center. The race will be held at 2 pm and it's lots of fun to watch all those "ducklings" floating down the creek. Also, this is the first year for our Deviled Egg Cook-Off. Come armed with your best eggs; judging at 2:30 pm.

Saturday, March 27
Natural Dye Workshop.
3 pm. Dye your Easter eggs naturally this year! An informative and experimental workshop for parents and children alike. Participants will learn the basics of dyeing with plant materials and using mordants to set colors. Participants will take hope Easter eggs dyed with local plants such as walnut, oak moss, and marigold. In addition to dyeing eggs, dying demonstrations will show how the pigments of plant materials affect different textiles including cotton and leather. Instructor Karen Taylor, Blue Ridge National Heritage Area featured Horticulturist from Robbinsville, has a deep knowledge of the flora of Western North Carolina comes from a lifetime of experience and learning. The workshop cost is $5 for adults and children are free.
